AFTER ALL IS SAID, AND DONE
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.” Ecclesiastes 12:13 NKJV
“And moreover, because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yes, he pondered and sought out and set in order many proverbs. The Preacher sought to find acceptable words; and what was written was upright—words of truth. The words of the wise are like goads, and the words of scholars are like well-driven nails, given by one Shepherd. And further, my son, be admonished by these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh.” (Ecclesiastes 12:9-12 NKJV).
All the Greek, Latin and Hebrew quotations. The lengthy and brief sermons. The simple and big vocabularies. The screaming and gentle services. All the smart outfits and neat hairdos of preachers. Everything they are trying to say to you is simply; “…fear God [worship Him with awe-filled reverence, knowing that He is almighty God] and keep His commandments, for this applies to every person.” Ecclesiastes 12:13 AMP. Even the present pandemic ravaging nations has been described by many as GOD telling humans to realize their sins and look up to Him. Whether that is true or not. If we all would live in awe of GOD, and forsake our evil ways. If everyone would repent of their sins, and call Jesus Lord over their lives, there would be no more need for preaching.
Therefore, let us drop all forms of arguements and focus on the main matter-union with GOD! Repentance, and doing the words of the Lord. Ask yourself, ‘do I fear GOD?’ ‘Do I keep His commands?’ If Jesus were to arrive to pick the saints today, are you ready?? I will never forget what my Pastor said several years ago. He said; “live as though Jesus is coming back in the next second”. That statement helps me to keep my garment clean regularly. And to work out my salvation with fear and trembling-daily! If you have made mistakes in the past, don’t live in your past, correct it now! Choose to live for GOD from today.
