YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, IF YOU …
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3 KJV
Someone asked me many years ago; ‘do you also believe that Christians have eternal life right now, or do they get eternal life after they are dead?’ I replied; eternal life starts the very moment someone recognizes and acknowledges Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior.
Many people know about God and Jesus Christ; but the truth is that they do not know them at all! If you look at the study verse above, it says eternal life is knowing the only true God, and Jesus Christ that God had sent. That word “know” in that verse is a Greek word “ginōskō” which means: perceptible knowledge, not just head-knowledge! Read that same verse from the AMPC Bible: “And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent.” John 17:3 AMPC. Teaching a blind man about light doesn’t mean he has known what light really is. Until his eyes are opened! Then you’d see the awe on his face, he would suddenly realize that light is actually more than what was described or defined to him! Why? Because, now he is perceiving and experiencing that light!
Eternal life is imparted into the spirit of anyone, immediately the person opens his or her heart, to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord! Eternal life doesn’t start after a Christian dies on the earth, it begins the very moment anyone believes in Jesus Christ: 1 John 5:11-13 AMP “And the testimony is this: God has given us eternal life [we already possess it], and this life is in His Son [resulting in our spiritual completeness, and eternal companionship with Him]. He who has the Son [by accepting Him as Lord and Savior] has the life [that is eternal]; he who does not have the Son of God [by personal faith] does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God [which represents all that Jesus Christ is and does], so that you will know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have eternal life.”

Thank you Heavenly Father! Today, I accept Jesus Christ, as my personal Lord and Savior; as the One who died for my sins! From today, I have eternal life, and all the benefits connected to it, in Jesus’ holy name I pray. Amen!
