UNFAILING PROMISES OF GOD“Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath.” Hebrews 6:17 NKJV
There is a place in Africa, that when people want to assure their listeners of whatever they are saying, they touch their tongues with their index fingers and then point towards the sky. That is their way of saying; “if I am lying to you, let God punish me!” Immediately their listeners hear and see that, they accept whatever the speaker is saying.
God too knew that it was necessary for Him to assure us beyond any form of doubts, when He promised that we would be massively blessed, and that we would multiply greatly. So, He swore to confirm His words to father Abraham. He too could have touched His tongue with His index finger and pointed above His head towards the lofty place above Him if there was someone greater than Him living up there. But, there isn’t! So, He had to point towards Himself! He swore by Himself! Which means, if He fails to fulfill His promises to father Abraham, He would punish Himself! In technology, we call that “self-destruct”. “For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” Hebrews 6:13-14 NKJV
Your success is not a matter that is open for debate! There is no room for negotiation here! God made the promise about it to father Abraham, and He sealed it with an oath! This is all beyond you and I! In short, to settle for anything less than blessings and multiplication is to try to interfere with the promises that God made to father Abraham. You cannot fail beloved! Your visions will happen! All you need to do is to align yourself properly as a seed of Abraham. You do not have to be a citizen of Israel on this one! Your faith in Jesus Christ links you up with this flow of blessings. If you do not succeed and multiply as a seed of Abraham, God will hold Himself responsible! -if you have been faithful. You can bank on the promises of God!
