THE ATTITUDE OF UNPROFITABLE SERVANTS.

WORD&POWER for TODAY

THE ATTITUDE OF UNPROFITABLE SERVANTS.

““Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’” Matthew 25:24‭-‬25 NKJV

Every leader must pray that God should show him the content of the hearts of his followers, if he doesn’t want to get unpleasant surprises from them! Jesus knew Judas Iscariot and what he was capable of doing because Jesus prayed concerning his followers. One would think the complaints of this unprofitable servant would be around the fact that he had limited opportunities because he had one talent. But his complaints looked very much like an attack on his boss. He seemed to have built up resentments towards his master as he followed him.

He said, “I knew you!” Wow!! Beloved, what do your followers “know” about you too? And if you are a follower, what do you “know” about your Boss? According to this servant, his Boss was a “hard man”, “Reaping from where he had not planted”, “Gathering from where he had not sown seeds”. He didn’t see his Boss as a shrewd businessman, he “knew” him as a cheat! One who wouldn’t release but always want to get!

The Master GAVE five talents to one, two to another, and one to him. Yet, he said his Master doesn’t plant. He said he doesn’t sow seeds. He disregarded the generosity of his good Master due to his ungrateful, lazy and resentful heart. If you “know” only odds about your Master, you might actually be a dangerously “wicked and lazy servant” {as scriptures described that man}. Of course, we know some leaders are cruel and stingy. But, not this kind that properly represents Jesus Christ. Leaders should pray to God to show them the hearts of their followers. And, followers should be careful of how they perceive their Leaders.

PLEASE, DON’T MISS THE FIRST FLIGHT! Rapture will soon happen!

Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior now, if you haven’t. If you backslidded because of sin, re-dedicate your life to Jesus now!

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18 KJV
