GOD IS A FORTRESS TO THOSE WHO TRUST HIM
“I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalms 91:2 KJV
Some trust in chariots, others trust in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord. “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.” Psalms 20:7-8 KJV.
Whoever you run to in the day of trouble determines whom you trust, and depend on. Someone like David could boast in his skills and experience at war, he could boast in the dangerous and fearless warriors that surround him. But, no! He would rather trust GOD for every single victory. That is why he never lost a single battle! Yet, he fought more battles than any king of Israel.
A fortress is the most secured place in the day of trouble, it is not a regular house. It is a place designed majorly for security. That is a place you can be and all the flying arrows of the enemies cannot reach you. Don’t trust your job for security, you can lose it. Don’t trust your bank, it can fold up. Don’t trust any human, they can fail you when you need them most. Put your trust in GOD. Declare with your mouth: _”I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalms 91:2 KJV. That is the only One that can keep you safely, when trouble comes. Put your trust in Him!
