PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6 KJV
The only thing you are permitted to worry about is what you have not presented to GOD in prayer. If you worry after praying, you are doubtful! And the reason many Christians are in big trouble is because they didn’t pray about small issues. They thought; “I can fix that …that’s not a big deal”.
The children of Israel suffered from that attitude once. They saw a city named Ai, and they felt; “…Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.” Joshua 7:3 KJV. To their shock, that “few” city beat them such that they fled. They didn’t pray to ask for instructions from GOD as to how to deal with the “few” city. They trusted in their number, and their ability. They failed woefully!
Don’t repeat their mistake. The reason GOD says you should not worry about anything, is so that you give Him those issues to help you settle them. If you do not pray, you will have to settle the matter by yourself, big or small. “Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.” PHILIPPIANS 4:6 AMP. My wife knows, I even pray before picking people’s phone calls. “Every thing”, means EVERYTHING! Pray to GOD, about everything! If you do, worrying won’t be your lifestyle.
