MAY YOU NOT SERVE YOUR ENEMIES

MAY YOU NOT SERVE YOUR ENEMIES

“Nevertheless they shall be his servants; that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.” 2 Chronicles 12:8 KJV

Wisdom taught me to be careful during two seasons; the season of pain and that of pleasure. Because, GOD uses the two to test us! Pain, and pleasure, can make a Believer in GOD become inconsistent, if he has not disciplined himself to be consistent come rain or shine!

King Rehoboam had become strong because he, and the people of Judah walked according to the godly instructions of King David and King Solomon (2 Chronicles 11:17). But, what happened after then? “And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the Lord, and all Israel with him.” 2 Chronicles 12:1 KJV. They followed divine instructions till they became strong, when strenght came, they became inconsistent. They forsook the instructions of GOD! Experienced Pastors will tell you they know people with such behaviours. When they are weak, they are very humble and obedient. Following every single instuction. The moment little strenght comes, they start misbehaving, and disregarding spiritual instructions. Such people often end up serving their enemies.

When King Rehoboam and Judah repented and humbled themselves, GOD said He had forgiven them; but they should serve the enemy that had come against them. So that they might know the difference between His service and that of the enemy nations that surrounded them (II Chronicles 12:7-9). Hello! You do not have to serve your enemies to know that GOD is good, and that His services and instructions are better than the devil’s. Simply pay your Tithes as at when due, give your Offerings, Pray and Fast regularly as instructed by the Bible, do what you’re instructed to do by your Spiritual Leaders. Behind every spiritual instruction is a blessing and a curse. Do not choose the latter! King Rehoboam and Judah lost gold, many valuables, many treasures to their enemies, because they could not be consistent with the spiritual instructions that were passed to them by King David and King Solomon. Experience has taught me that it is not the best teacher, instruction is! Do whatever you’re spiritually taught to do, do not deviate to walk in your own ways …it can be so costly!
