PRISONERS OF JESUS CHRIST.

WORD&POWER for TODAY

PRISONERS OF JESUS CHRIST

“For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you.” Ephesians 3:1‭-‬2 NKJV

God doesn’t call people into ministry with the aim of giving them just titles! He calls people for people! There must be a people He wants you to reach. There has to be a generation He wants you to talk to!

He didn’t mince words with Moses, He told him He was sending him to Egypt to deliver the children of Israel. Gideon knew why he was chosen-to liberate his people! He had a similar reason for choosing Samson too. David had a clear assignment-to lead the people. Apostle Paul was very sure of why he was called: “that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.” Ephesians 3:6‭-‬7 NKJV.

God’s call is like imprisonment! The only difference is that, our love for Him and our love for the people He has sent us to is the force that keeps us bound, not crime. I should have been a lawyer by now, arguing cases in court. But He apprehended me to preach and teach the Gospel! To minister to people across nations and communities; as He sends me! Why are you in ministry? What have you been apprehended for? Jonah was apprehended for the sake of Nineveh. Peter for the Jews! For whom, and for what, have you been called into ministry?
