“Arrival mentality” is one of the mindsets that breaks spiritual followers away from their spiritual leaders! Whereas, they actually have not arrived at where God is taking them to. They have only gotten a respite {ie a short period of rest or relief} from their painful past. But, the spirit of arrogance and selfishness tells them; “now you’re fine. You no longer need your spiritual leader by your side! You have-arrived! You can fix things alone now!” Beloved, it is a trap! Don’t fall into it.
Prophet Moses told Pastor Joshua as the whole congregation listened; “you are to go with this people into the land that the Lord has sworn… to give them!” You must do the journey together; till you enter into the promised land! For example, the Sons of the Prophets desired a bigger space for them to settle in, but they didn’t go without their spiritual leader! They dragged Prophet Elisha along. That was why his Prophetic gift was handy when their tool fell into the water (2Kings 6:1-7). Barack too, even though he was a Soldier, refused to go to the war that was Prophesied he was going to win. He insisted that Prophetess Deborah who gave the prophecy must go with him! Read his words; “… If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go!” Judges 4:8 NKJV. Friend, are you presently WITH your spiritual leader?!
Do not ever think you will make it to your promised land without your God-given-Prophet. The devil may lie to you that you have arrived at your glorious place. My friend, you haven’t!! It is a trap! Do not be ashamed to share your pains, and do not be afraid to share your gains, with your Pastor. That is God’s design! That is God’s method!! Any thing short of this is evil! Please, reconnect, if you have disconnected yourself from whoever God has been using to bless your life; if you want to truly arrive at your “promised land”. Do your life’s journey, with your Pastor.
