BEND THAT METAL …YOU CAN!
“Elijah was a man with a nature like ours [with the same physical, mental, and spiritual limitations and shortcomings], and he prayed intensely for it not to rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].” -James 5:17-18 AMP
Whenever you face any difficult situation, a lie you must never fall for, is looking for sympathy instead of tackling that situation by the horns. Another lie you mustn’t fall for, is that, ‘no one has successfully passed through that kind of situation’. Such mindsets will cripple anyone!
Did you see that Brother James introduced Prophet Elijah first by his weaknesses and limitations, before mentioning his exploits. To let us know, there were no “superheroes” in the Bible. They were ordinary men and women like you and I, who decided to trust God completely! No matter how difficult your circumstances are presently, they can change! That hard nut will break, under the force of persistent prayers! If that weak and helpless, but relentless widow in Luke 18 eventually got her prayer answered; you too will get your miracle!
Your tight schedule, toxic relationships, witchcraft, being born into a poor family, lack of required education, bad government, not being eloquent, etc should not stop you from becoming what you and God have decided to turn your life into. Pray! Fast! Sow Seeds! Read! Get more training! Travel abroad! Offer the required sacrifices! Yank yourself out of the grip of that problem. Do whatever is required of you to change that situation. Don’t ever plan to meet Jesus with excuses and stories of how hard life is on earth; you and I know what He would do to such people, according to His stories in the Bible. Bend that metal, because, you can!
