THE MORE YOU HAVE, THE MORE HUMBLE YOU SHOULD BECOME.

WORD&POWER for TODAY

THE MORE YOU HAVE, THE MORE HUMBLE YOU SHOULD BECOME

“Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.” John 13:3‭-‬5 NKJV

This is a complete paradox to the world. The world beliefs that when you have, or when you get lifted, you should lift your shoulders so that people can see how powerful you have become. Possessions and positions determine the ego of the worldly, but these drive the godly to their knees.

Jesus, KNOWING THAT THE FATHER HAD GIVEN ALL THINGS INTO HIS HANDS, and THAT HE CAME FROM GOD AND WAS GOING TO GOD, rose up to do the lowest task. That was the dirtiest kind of job anyone would do in Israel; that was why Peter initially refused Him to wash his feet! The higher you go, the more you have, the lesser you should be in your heart. If your heart rises in the same alttitude with your position and possessions, you’re on your way back to the ground!!

“For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.” John 13:15 NKJV. Jesus should be your number one Mentor!! When you realize you now have more, or that you have been promoted, do not let those things get into your head. Jesus said; “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:29 NKJV. In the Kingdom of God, the most powerful people are often the meekest.
