3 THINGS GOD EXPECTS OF YOU“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8 NKJV
(1) JUSTICE: God hates cheating, false witness, hypocrisy and such things. That is why Jesus taught that whatever you would that people should do to you, do same to them first. You should not plant hatred and seek to reap love. Love first before you expect it back! Justice requires you owe no man. Pay your debts, do not look for ways to evade it. Justice requires you give honor to whom it is due, if you also want to be honored. If you want to live long, honor those who have lived longer than you-respect grey hairs, it is still justice! Do not covet what your neighbor has, to the point of sleeping with his wife (or husband) or stealing from your neighbor-live a Just life!
(2) MERCY: It has been said that once you’re born again, you’re “born-again for ever”. Please, take note, that being born again doesn’t stop you from going to hell, if you do not live by God’s standards. Unless if after conversion, you no longer trespass! “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” Mark 11:25-26 NKJV. Forgiveness is one standard God won’t negotiate with anyone. Your ability to forgive your offenders as soon as God forgives your own offences proves that you’re truly a child of God. Malice is an unpardonable sin!
(3) HUMILITY: Nothing irritates God like arrogance! He can’t stand a proud person, He just must put him down! No one that is arrogant will retain position of honor in the presence of God. He would demote him as soon as He can. If you must walk with God, humility must be your dress style. “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:29 NKJV. You cannot be God’s child or servant, and your words are always lofty, with your looks always high, towards the sky. “But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6 NKJV. If you want more grace in your walk with God, walk humbly.
