WITNESS WITHIN YOUR IMMEDIATE WORLDMark 5:19 “Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.”
Everyone wants to reach the whole world with their message, but they do not want to start from where they are. How many things has GOD done for us that we have completely hidden away from our immediate acquaintances …? We fear the reaction of those closest to us, so we hide whatever GOD has done for us.
Jesus delivered a raven mad man from demonic possession and control. He couldn’t live among his people, he lived in the caves because he was very violent. After his deliverance, he felt he needed to follow Jesus as a form of gratitude for his deliverance, and allegiance to the ministry of Jesus Christ. But, Jesus declined. He rather told him; “… Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.” And the man immediately resumed. Jesus had just given him a ministry, and he didn’t fail to do it! _“And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.”_Mark 5:20.
Dont wait until GOD opens international doors for you before you testify about who Jesus is to you, begin with your friends. Tell your family members. Testify to those living next to you that GOD is good. Preach about the need to have Jesus in ones life. All men will marvel at your testimonies, because they are the works of GOD. Certainly, GOD must have seen that you were faithful with little before He gives you much. Spread the goodness on your social media platforms. Help someone get out of his troubles by connecting them with Jesus Christ. Witness within your immediate world first, then if you’re needed in the uttermost parts of the world, Jesus will still take you there.
