WHAT IS YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS GOD'S SERVANTS?

“I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, because I hear of your love and of your faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints (God’s people).” Philemon 1:4‭-‬5 AMP

If there were Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp in Paul’s days, if he had access to social media platforms as we do today, he would have written: “I thank my God always, mentioning your name when I am praying, because I have seen online, your love and faith for Jesus Christ, and your services towards other believers.”

When you see fellow believers in Jesus Christ serving God within their little capacity, showing love to their brethren in Christ within their little means, what comes to your mind? Do you rejoice? Do you give thanks to your God on their behalf? Do you give advice where necessary? Do you send financial, instrumental, or material supports? Do you call or text them to say at the least; “move-on-brother!?” Do you sincerely pray for them to be more effective and powerful, as Apostle said he did: “I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective and powerful because of your accurate knowledge of every good thing which is ours in Christ.” Philemon 1:6 AMP.

Castigating one another, competition, rivalry, malice, publicly criticizing one another before unbelievers, being indifferent about failures or success of fellow believers, not caring about one another’s welfare etc will not get us stronger, but weaker! As members of the same Body of Christ, we supply virtues for the increase and progress of one another, not weaknesses: “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:16 KJV. So, brotherly love demands that I should support you now with whatever I have within my capacity, and pray effectively for you to become even more effective in your ministry. Because, sooner or later, I would need your strenght to achieve something for our God. That is what God expects from us. That is the attitude we should all have towards one another -as Believers in Jesus Christ, and His Ministers!
