PURE, BUT UNWISE
“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.” Matthew 25:1-2 NKJV
It is not only holiness that you need to enter Heaven, you need wisdom too! It is true, that without holiness no man will see the LORD; Hebrews 12:14 NKJV *”Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.”* But, obviously, you need more than holiness to see the Lord!
Jesus said five of the ten virgins were wise, and five were foolish. Virginity is another word for purity, sinlessness, or holiness! But, being holy did not make them wise, they still needed wisdom to meet the Bridegroom (i.e Jesus Christ). The question is; why did Jesus classify these virgins as fools? He said; “Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them.”* Matthew 25:3 NKJV. They had their lamps which represents the word of God, or knowledge of the Truth; but they did not carry oil, which represents the Spirit of God! But, concerning the wise Jesus said: *”but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.”* Matthew 25:4 NKJV. No lamp can keep burning without oil. There will be no light without electrical (or solar) power!
You need purity, knowledge of God’s Word, and the Spirit of God; for you to make it into Heaven! Zechariah spoke of seeing a vision. He saw a lamp, and he also saw two olive trees supplying golden oil into that lamp (Zech 4). That’s how you can survive and stay relevant in God’s kingdom! Live holy, hold the word tightly, and keep oil (i.e power) constantly flowing into your life!

Heavenly Father, thank you! Today, I pray for wisdom. Father, give me the wisdom that will keep power flowing into my life. Teach me how to relate with the Anointing and with the Anointeds, in the name of Jesus Christ, and I will not miss Heaven. Amen!
