GOD REWARDS PATIENCE

“I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.” Psalms 40:1 NKJV

Waiting is tough! If you have ever waited for GOD to fulfill any of His promises to you, you will agree with me. It is when you are waiting that you will know the true color of your acquaintances. A woman who was celebrated at her wedding by all and sundry would know the true color of her family and friends when she would need to wait for the fruit of the womb. It is in the waiting room that every one has something to counsel you about. You will look like a novice!

Waiting can be painful, but when it is over, the gain is unending! Halleluyah!! When we talk about waiting, we are not talking about inactivity. We are not talking about idleness. We are rather talking about refusing to deviate from the truth, no matter what! Waiting means you wont turn aside to seek solution to your challenges by stepping outside GOD. “Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.” Psalms 40:4 NKJV. When patience has done its perfect work in your life, the Bible says you will be perfect and complete, lacking nothing (James 1:4). The Great Men of GOD you are presently envying have passed through the room called patience. That is why GOD can trust them with great grace, wealth, glory, and human souls… they do not lack a thing!

Are you hearing voices suggesting shortcuts to you? Please, shut them out! When GOD begins with you, this will be your testimony: “Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered.” Psalms 40:5 NKJV. Job too said he would wait, until his change would come. When his change came, he had twice what he had before he was attacked. GOD turned around to reward his patience. Your waiting too will produce Isaac {laughter} for you. Do not manufacture Ishmael (mockery) due to impatience, wait for Isaac! You will do the last laugh, if you can just wait!
