WORD&POWER for TODAY
PARTNERSHIP IN THE KINGDOM
“So Judah said to Simeon his brother, “Come up with me to my allotted territory, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I will likewise go with you to your allotted territory.” And Simeon went with him. Then Judah went up, and the Lord delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand; and they killed ten thousand men at Bezek.” -Judges 1:3-4 NKJV
How easy is it to fight and win a war, when you have the upper hand?
The land was given to Judah, but he requested that Simeon should partner with him to take the land; with a promise that Simeon would be requitted with the same favor. Simeon agreed, spent his resources and used his men to assist Judah in taking Canaan. In one sweep, the battle was won!
There is no need to struggle and languish when you have brothers or sisters who have what you need. Why cry to God as if you are help-less?! The reason many do not approach their brothers and sisters for assistance, as Judah boldly did are: spirit of competition and arrogance. In this Kingdom, we are supposed to supply whatever we have to ensure the success of one another: “You [believers], like living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house for a holy and dedicated priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.” -1 Peter 2:5 AMP. And, “in whom the whole structure is joined together, and it continues [to increase] growing into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, set apart, and sacred to the presence of the Lord].” -Ephesians 2:21 AMP.
