“And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.” John 8:23 NKJV
No one is more confused than a Christian who has identity crisis! You have to know who you are, where you’re from, where you’re heading, the constitution you obey, and your present spiritual position and condition!
The boldness of Jesus Christ had no match when talking about His identity and actual address! He really upset his audience. He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.” Everyone who has not submitted to God and to His will belongs to this sinful world; and subsequently to satan {whether they like it or not}. But, whoever has submitted himself or herself to God and to God’s will is a citizen of Heaven; even though he or she resides on earth. One can be a citizen of a country, but live in another; am I right?
So, if you’re born-again, live with this understanding daily! That you are a citizen of Heaven but resident of earth. Your actual spiritual address is above-it is Heaven! But, every sinner’s actual address is beneath! However, you can change your address today; if you denounce worldly citizenship! Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and live daily by His word. You will become a citizen of Heaven. Say your identity and talk about your spiritual address without any iota of doubts, especially when talking to people.
