WORD&POWER for TODAY
HOW TO INCREASE YOUR SPIRITUAL STATURE-Part 2
“As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.” -1Peter 2:2 NKJV
The keywords in this verse are: desire, the word, and growth. Desire is your expression of need or want for something. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” -Matthew 5:6 NKJV. Apart from the Holy Spirit, my greatest motivators to write WORD&POWER for TODAY without stopping are the people who send me messages like; “add me to your group”, “please add me to your posts”, “I have not received today’s message” e.t.c {these include Pastors, from different nations}. They’re expressing their desire for the Word of God. I really thank them for encouraging me. That attitude shows their craving for The TRUTH-PURE AND UNDILUTED WORD!
Now, you might want to know that the word has textures. There is milk, there is meat (ie solid food), there are cartilages, and there are bones! Apostle Paul, being a proficient teacher of the Word knew this: “And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able.” -I Corinthians 3:1-2 NKJV.
Every Christian that wants to grow must express desire for the pure Word, of God. Receiving prophecies won’t make you grow spiritually. Miracles won’t make you grow either. Undergoing Deliverance won’t increase your spiritual stature. You have to sit down, learn, study, FEED, on the word of God-eat it! If it is hard, break it!! That is why Jesus told Martha: “… Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But ONE THING IS NEEDED, and Mary has chosen that GOOD PART, which will not be taken away from her.” -Luke 10:41-42 NKJV. Beside the daily WORD&POWER for TODAY, we also do Online Mentorship and Discipleship Classes, every Saturday morning. To give that “One-Most-Important-Thing” (i.e The Word of God) to people!
