HOW TO IDENTIFY HERETICS, AND AVOID THEM

“After a first and second warning reject a divisive man [who promotes heresy and causes dissension—ban him from your fellowship and have nothing more to do with him].” Titus 3:10 AMP

Firstly, who is a heretic? A heretic is someone who has opinions and views that are odd, or against what is generally accepted. Heretics in Christiandom believe, and say they know what the Prophets and the Apostles of the Bible don’t know. They do not build their works or ministry on the doctrines of the Prophets and the Apostles of the Bible: they claim they have their “own revelations”. They teach and preach rebellion, and dishonor of God’s Messengers; claiming they are the true ministers of God.

They teach and preach to direct people’s attention to themselves, rather than to Jesus Christ-The Head of the Church. God has not called us to do or preach something new; He called us to preach the Gospel! The Gospel is just one Old News; that Jesus Christ came to die for our sins. If we believe that news, and confess Him as Lord, we will be saved-Simple! That’s what the Holy Spirit needs to work miracles among people! But, the heretic believes and preaches somethings else. “… such a person is twisted and is sinning; he is convicted and self-condemned [and is gratified by causing confusion among believers].” Titus 3:11 AMP.

If you have tried correcting the heretic, at the most twice, and he or she insists, the Bible says you should keep off him or her! A little yeast can make a whole lump swell! Keep off them!! Keep your faith in God pure and steady. Don’t run a race that God has not set before you. Not every celebrated message is from God. Choose what you take into your spirit; and mind whom you call a brother or sister-in-Christ: “Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.” Proverbs 4:23 AMP.
