HOW BELIEVERS ROB THEMSELVES OF BLESSINGS
"But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles' feet." -Acts 5:1-2 NKJVI fear couples who don’t correct themselves! They don’t disagree on any thing!! Whatever the husband wants is automatically the wife’s choice! Whatever the wife says is the husband’s default decision. Never in disagreement on anything!! If the husband says; “let us steal”, the wife says; “yes, we steal.” If the woman says, “I hate our Pastor”, the husband says; “me too!” Without questions! They call all that oneness, and love. But, I call that evil and hypocrisy! One has to be a chameleon to conform so easily, even to unfavorable environments. True love should correct!
Ananias and Sapphira promised (made a vow), that if they sold their property, they would give all the money to God. But, after the sale, they decided to keep part of the money to themselves, and lie that they came with everything. The wife didn’t tell the husband, “nooo! We can’t do thaaat!” Neither did the husband feel they were sinning. They were in “agreement” for wrong reasons-God killed both of them the same day!
Like Ananais and Sapphira, there are Believers who earn in millions, but pay their Tithes as if they earn in hundreds of thousands. Some earn in hundreds of thousands, but they pay Tithes to God as if they earn in tens of thousands. The worst of them are those who don’t pay at all-they selfishly consume all their income, after God has helped them! In the sight of God, these are all Thieves! If Ananias and Sapphira gave everything as they had promised, God would have given them far more than what they were releasing to Him. But, their deceitful life killed them. The BLESSINGS that are attached to our simple obedience to God are bigger than the Offerings and Tithes that are in our custody. Do not hinder yourself from accessing the BLESSINGS that have your name on them. Simply do God’s word, always.
