GOD WILL GRANT YOUR DESIRES“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24 KJV
What, actually is the meaning of the word desire? The dictionary defines it as “a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen. Or, to “strongly wish for or want (something)”. Eitherway, emphasis are laid on strength in the two definitions. Your desire is not something you passively like, or want for the sake of being in possession of it. Your desire should be something (or someone) you “strongly” want.
This is the simple mystery behind answered, and unanswered prayers. Your desires should be something connected to your life, your well-being, your peace of mind, GOD getting glorified, destroying the devil’s work in your life or that of others, etc. In short, your desires should be to establish GOD’s will concerning you or that of other people, on the earth. And these are things you should passionately (or strongly) pray about. Jesus was saying; if you pray based on GOD’s will concerning you, believe in your heart that answers are coming, and in the course of time, you will receive your desired miracles!
Living well is GOD’s will, being married and having children is GOD’s will. Having a job to meet your material needs is GOD’s will. Getting promotions at work is GOD’s will. The Salvation of the souls of your relations and friends is GOD’s will. Driving your own cars, instead of trekking is GOD’s will. Your children excelling at school is GOD’s will. Expansion in your business or ministry is also GOD’s will. These are the kinds of “desires” that heaven won’t refuse. These are a few of the things you can pray about and be sure of answers. GOD will never fail to fulfill His promises! “For all the promises of God in him (Jesus Christ) are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God …” 2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV. So, pray confidently when asking for your desires, answers will definitely come!
