GOD WILL GO DOWN WITH YOU, TO EGYPT!
“So He said, “I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there.” Genesis 46:3 NKJV
“Egypt” at this point was an incubator; not a land of bondage and slavery. Egypt at this point was to serve the purpose of creating the right environment (with resources) for Israel to develop from one man into a great nation!
God told Israel (formerly known as Jacob), ‘don’t be afraid to go down to Egypt’. God is not just the God of the mountain, He is also the God of the Valley! Sometimes He leads people downward, before He takes them upward! The good thing about Him is that He always ends the trip up, not down! Halleluyah! He said “I will go down with you to Egypt, and I WILL ALSO SURELY BRING YOU UP AGAIN; and Joseph will put his hand on your eyes.” Genesis 46:4 NKJV. Praise God!
Even Joseph went down into the pit, and further down to Egypt, but he came up again to find himself on the throne! Jesus went down also even into hell, yet He came up again to sit on the throne beside the Father. Down is not evil all the time, sometimes it is the only passage to the top! So, as long as God is with you in that journey, you will surely end up at the top! Don’t be afraid to resign from that high position if God says you should. Do not be afraid to go down, if that is the only way you can find! We know, that He will never leave us down there, He will surely lift us up again! “For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.” Psalms 16:10 NKJV. Hallelujah! He can not fail to lift us up, again!
