WORD&POWER for TODAY
GIVE YOURSELF TO PRAYER, AND THE WORD“but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” Acts 6:4 NKJV
Many people are looking for power, Preachers and Laypersons alike. They seek guidance and solution to divers kinds of life’s issues. In the process, many of them end up in the hands of sorcerers and the occult. Throwing themselves into even bigger problems, and perpetual satanic web. There is genuine holy power, from GOD Almighty. But, because they do not know how to access it, they put themselves in very serious difficult situations.
In Christianity, you can not access the power of GOD without His Word. What we call power in Christianity is the Holy Spirit, and the anointing He brings with Him. Please, know this; The Holy Spirit will never operate in a place where the Word of GOD is missing. Jesus clearly said: “But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future]. He will glorify and honor Me {The Word}, because He (the Holy Spirit) will take from what is Mine {The Word’s} and will disclose it to you.” John 16:13-14 AMP [emphasis mine]. You can see that the Holy Spirit can not, and will not operate without the Word. If you see power being demonstrated anywhere the Word of GOD is not, the devil is the one performing magic!
So, for your prayers to be effective, you must know the Word of GOD …because, that is what the Spirit will work with for your prayers to be presentable to GOD. You have to discipline yourself to study the Word of GOD. Sit and learn the Word from the Anointed Teachers of it. Understand the mind of GOD through His Word, so that your prayers will be powerful, and result oriented. Any prayer said according to GOD’s will attracts His attention. But, you cannot know His will if you do not know His Word. So, if you want power, study the word of GOD. If you want instant answers to your prayers, make the Word and the Spirit your best companions. Give yourself continually to them! Pray “Word-based” prayers continually, if you want answers!
