DON'T QUESTION GOD'S CHOICES OF MEN“This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” Daniel 4:17
Arrogant people wonder why GOD would choose to use men that look weaker than them. The learned would have loved GOD to only use them, but He also uses those who never stepped into any formal school. In fact, GOD takes pride in spiting the proud by using and blessing people who seem to be far lower than them in knowledge, might, or exposure.
“For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 KJV.
Nebuchadnezzar was an ordinary man that GOD lifted up, and brought all nations under him. But, he became arrogant. Boasting that he became great by his own might. GOD in turn sent him into the forest to live like an animal, for seven years. In order to teach him that “… the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” He is the Ruler of the universe. He chooses to lift up whoever He wants, without asking for counsel from anyone. He doesn’t consult humans to choose humans. He lifts up people according to His plans and desires, not according to men’s evaluation. If you despise people, or question GOD’s choices of His men, please stop. Because it is a sign of arrogance. GOD lifts people according to their hearts, not according to their heights.
