DON’T FOLLOW THOSE WHO FIGHT CHURCH LEADERS AND MISSIONARIES

“Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.” III John 1:11 NKJV

When you see the words evil and good in the Bible, always check why they are used at that point. There was a man named Diotrephes. He was a Church Leader, and one that loved to be heard and seen all the time. He would oppose and maliciously criticize other Church Leaders, particularly Apostle John The Beloved. Diotrephes would refuse to welcome Missionaries, speaking evil of them. And whoever tried to help the missionaries that had travelled to their neighborhood to preach, Diotrephes would throw them out of the church as a form of punishment. That man was evil! Read what Apostle John wrote about him:

“I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to put himself first, does not accept what we say and refuses to recognize my authority. For this reason, if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, unjustly accusing us with wicked words and unjustified charges. And not satisfied with this, he refuses to receive the [missionary] brothers himself, and also forbids those who want to [welcome them] and puts them out of the church.” 3 JOHN 1:9‭-‬10 AMP. There are wicked people like that today too. They won’t go for missions. But they will fight those who come. They get into the Church and wish to challenge the status quo. They have no regard for spiritual order and authority. These are enemies of the truth! Don’t follow them, because their works are evil!

Those who accommodate and support missionaries love the Truth. They rejoice that the Truth is spreading. “Beloved, you are acting faithfully in what you are providing for the brothers, and especially when they are strangers; and they have testified before the church of your love and friendship. You will do well to [assist them and] send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. For these [traveling missionaries] went out for the sake of the Name [of Christ], accepting nothing [in the way of assistance] from the Gentiles. SO WE OUGHT TO SUPPORT SUCH PEOPLE [WELCOMING THEM AS GUESTS AND PROVIDING FOR THEM], so that we may be fellow workers for the truth [that is, for the gospel message of salvation].” 3 JOHN 1:5‭-‬8 AMP. When dealing with GOD, always choose the right camp. Don’t follow those who speak evil of Church Leaders and make life difficult for Missionaries. Or else, you’d be working for satan. Join the camp of those who stand for Men of GOD, and take good care of Missionaries. Heaven will recognize you as its Partner on earth. Be wise!
