DO THESE THINGS, IF YOU WANT GOD ...“Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” Philippians 4:9 KJV
Learning and practise must be married before results can be achieved. The reason so many people stay so long on the prayer mountains fasting, and praying all kinds of unnecessary prayers looking for GOD, is because they would not do the simple things they were taught.
GOD instructs us in so many ways, if we are attentive and keen. To have GOD with us in every area of our lives, Apostle Paul said; we should do those things that we have LEARNED, RECEIVED, HEARD, AND SEEN, in him… as a Servant of GOD. He said we should do them, and GOD (His GOD, The GOD of Peace) will be with us. Some people are still waiting for GOD to speak audibly and directly from Heaven, with the sky wide-open, before they do what is right. They do not respect or give regards to Ministers of GOD, even those that GOD has positioned in their lives. They just want to “relate with GOD directly”! They do not know that a satanic spirit of pride is misleading them.
You have being reading gospel messages from WORD&POWER for TODAY. You hear preachers on your television. A Pastor lives close to you, and you know his lifestyle suits you. The good things that you have learnt, received, heard, and seen, do! If you want the GOD of Peace to be with you. What are these “good things”? Read this aloud to yourself: “Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you.” PHILIPPIANS 4:8-9 AMP.
