THE CANCEROUS EFFECTS OF BITTERNESS
“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.” Hebrews 12:15 KJV
Did you see, that when bitterness matures, it spreads to many others? Bitterness can transform a Christian into an operational witch or wizard. That is why Jesus said, if you have an issue with a fellow, discuss that issue between yourselves, first! Do not assume you know the reason for the offense. Sit down and discuss it, between the two of you. And if you find an offence, forgive one another!
Unforgiveness is the backbone of bitterness. And bitterness will lead to resentment, hatred, and wishing evil upon another fellow. May I shock you?! A lot of the reasons that people disagree are caused by misunderstandings, and falsehood. That is why Jesus said, discuss that matter first! “Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, GO AND TELL HIM HIS FAULT between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.” Matthew 18:15 KJV. People who speak out their minds are not rude; I think they are being sincere!
If you do not follow the counsel of Jesus Christ, bitterness will grow in you, and spread from you to others. You will resent that sister or brother (for possibly, no reason). Before long, you’d be wishing evil befalls that person; so that you could feel you have always been right about your presumptions -That is how witchcraft and wizardry begins! If you don’t relate with forgiveness and openess; you will start operating like satan! You know he thrives in the dark!! Bitterness is cancerous. Kill it, now! Get out of that dark room! Step into the Light! Call that fellow, book a meeting, GO and resolve your differences. Express your displeasure, if you were hurt. And let those offences end there! … If you do not want to fall from the grace of God!
