ALWAYS THINK RIGHT, AND ACT RIGHT“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8 KJV
We should not leave the steering of our lives to circumstances or people. We should make our choices, and they should be right choices.
As Christians, there are actions and thoughts that are peculiar to us. There are yet other actions and thoughts that if an unbeliever find us as Christians engaging in, even they would rebuke us. Why? Because Jesus is our example for life’s pattern. We are expected to think and act like Him. What are those right actions and thoughts that we are expected to live by?
They are Truth, Honesty, Justice, Purity, Love, Good report, Virtuous Lifestyle, Life of Gratitude etc. These are what we should meditate on daily, they should be our pattern of living. To do contrary to these is to give the impression that we are not Christians. We shouldn’t tell lies, be dishonest, be unjust, be impure, be hateful, having bad reports, living recklessly, or be ungrateful. Certainly, these behaviours are not Christlike. Therefore, we should meditate on and act on right things, all the time.
