WHAT'S GOD SAYING ABOUT THAT MATTER?“So they said to him, “Please inquire of God, that we may know whether the journey on which we go will be prosperous.” And the priest said to them, “Go in peace. The presence of the Lord be with you on your way.” -Judges 18:5-6 NKJV
“Seeking-God’s-Face” concerning a situation or plan is not limited to the Old Testament; but an act that shows total dependence on God for everything. By the way, when we say God’s face, we do not mean His literal face, but His consent. The Word says; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, and He shall direct your paths.” -Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV {Emphasis mine}.
Those who sought the Priest for spiritual guidance were Soldiers. Men who could have relied upon their weapons and skills. But, they were wise enough to seek God’s counsel on their intention. We do have the Holy Spirit now to ask for guidance and counsel. But, we must not neglect the ministry of our Pastors, Prophets and Spiritual Leaders: “Do not despise prophecies.” -1 Thessalonians 5:20 NKJV.

Whatever you want to do, seek God’s counsel. He sees the end from the beginning. Seeking His consent will save you from unnecessary losses, trouble, and headache.
