WHAT BELIEVERS SHOULD DO WHEN ABROAD
"Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word." -Acts 8:4 KJVLight should be light everywhere it gets to. Light shouldn’t become darkness because it changed environment. It is appalling to know that many vibrant Christians, and even Pastors in their former environment became indifferent about their faith when they moved abroad.
Whatever is responsible for your migration should not change your spiritual position. Whether persecution, fear of witches and wizards in your village, search for a greener pasture, job hunt, marriage, visa lottery, whatever it may be; your spiritual position shouldn’t change! You are still LIGHT, whether here or there! Jesus called us the light of the world, not just of our micro environment: “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” -Matthew 5:14 KJV.
Don’t hide your identity in a foreign land. The residents of your new location need the knowledge that you have about God. They need those blessings that God deposited in your life from “home”. Though scattered because of trouble, the Bible says the early Believers “PREACHED THE WORD”, every where they went. Do not deny Jesus because of comfort. Comfort should actually make you serve Him better! Serve Him, live for Him, whether home or abroad; come rain-come shine! I pray that God blesses your efforts as you spread His Word to the world around you; in Jesus mighty name! May God favour you in that foreign land as you spread His word; in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
