THE MASSIVE BENEFIT OF HUMILITY“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 KJV
Don’t ever pray “Oh GOD humble me!” My friend, do it by yourself, His method is tougher. I remember He humbled Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar and Herod, and I tell you, their experiences in His hands were horrible. Meekness should be cultivated. The Bible says humble yourselves, not, let GOD humble you (James 4:10, 1Peter5:6).
Wisdom also taught me that even arrogant people would rather deal with meek people. Meekness attracts favour and unusual opportunities. Arrogance repels help and favour. Arrogance says I’m made already, while meekness says I need your help if you will. How would the meek inherit the earth as Jesus said? People would entrust treasures and big projects in the hands of the humble. People will pray for and counsel someone with a meek spirit. Valuables are easily put in the hands of someone who will be humble enough to give accounts.
“Blessed [inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the gentle [the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the self-controlled], for they will inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 AMP. Search your heart, is it meek or arrogant? If you have put-off your destiny helpers because of your arrogance, reach out to them and mend your ways with them -call it mistake. GOD will lift you and settle you through people. People will trust you with powerful connections and great treasures if they know you can be easily corrected -Arrogant people don’t bend, they are never wrong. But you, If you want to “inherit the earth”, train your heart to be meek.
