PLAN, BUT LET GOD DIRECT YOU“A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 NKJV
GOD supports planning, and calculating what you have to determine what is achievable. He wants us to use our brain. In fact, several times in the book of Proverbs, you would hear GOD rebuking people who don’t think and plan.
But, in all our plans and calculations, GOD doesn’t want us to keep Him out. We must drop all our charts, drawings, and mathematics on His table, trusting Him for direction. “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.” Jeremiah 10:23-24.
If you are rigid on your plans you would miss GOD’s direction. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6. As you approach your goals, listen to Him for direction. Be willing to turn in any direction He leads you (because He can see what you don’t see). Trust GOD with your plans.
PRAY: My GOD and Father, I surrender my desires, goals, and plans on your table. Look through them, and guide me to my ultimate fulfillment in life, in Jesus name. Amen!
