“I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary.” Revelation 2:2‭-‬3 NKJV

This is to every Preacher, Serving Believer, and those who stand in support of God’s work. Accolades are awesome, and every flesh craves some; especially if we feel we have done anything worthy of praise.

The Usher wants to receive an award for being the best. The local Pastor wants to be recognized as the one with the “biggest church”. The Giver wants the Pastor to mention his name in every sermon. And the Evangelist thinks he loves souls more than the Pastor. Let your praise be from Jesus Christ-your Captain! He knows you well… better than anyone else! He knows your sacrifices and services to Him. He knows how you have waited for His lifting, instead of using gimmicks to rise. He knows how you kept off impostors, because you fear His name. He knows how you have relentlessly preached His word!

Men’s praise is vain when juxtaposed by God’s. Please, stand still by the word, keep preaching it! Wait for God’s lifting. Don’t borrow satan’s tools to serve God. Wait, until your change comes! Jesus knows your address, He knows what you do there in His name! Focus on the major things, and give less attention to the minor ones. Keep serving Jesus Christ; do not faint!
