“The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. Return to your rest, O my soul, For the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.” Psalms 116:6‭-‬7 NKJV

The world celebrates heroes, but God is drawn to those who have failed. The rich always have ready friends, the Lord chooses to befriend the needy. The strong and healthy boast in their strength, but the Lord wants to heal the sickly and to help the weak. When the knowledgeable stand tall, the Lord sits down around the ignorant with the aim of feeding them with knowledge. The Widows, Orphans, and the Travellers {because the travellers have left their base of strength behind}, these attract God’s compassion very easily, because they are often helpless.

I am really learning from the Lord, and I wish to be like Him in every sense of it. Why did Jesus start His ministry among the poor and the illiterates? God told Jonah to learn; it is not right to destroy the ignorant-those who don’t know the difference between their right hands from their left. Our God is a very compassionate God! Prophet Jonah already knew that and he lamented it: _*“… Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.”*_ Jonah 4:2 NKJV

Please dear friend, before you judge or hurt anyone, wear God’s spectacles first. Make efforts to see people the way God sees them. Remind yourself that He is your Father, and you’re supposed to act like Him always. Develop your affection for the downtrodden, the helpless, the orphans, the widows, and the ignorant. The power of God will flow through you easily, and the Heavens will make provisions abundantly available to you; because you would be representing the Kingdom of God on earth.

_*”Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”*_ Isaiah 1:18 KJV
