BURN THE BRIDGE BEHIND YOU

When it comes to services to God, we are not permitted to contemplate quitting …relocation is allowed, but not quitting! That doesn’t mean we have no choice to make. Dont forget, we are not robots, we still have our will-power in tact. We can decide to go back; but we will become unfit and disqualified if we attempt to go back!
Complete trust is what God wants from His Ministers! When Elisha received the call into ministry, he set his business on fire; so that there would be nothing to go back to (1Kings 19:19-21). That is what I call burning the bridge behind you! He did that because he was called into full-time ministry. That is not a recommendation for everyone. You shouldn’t have a backdoor if you want to serve God… there should be no “PLAN B” (you know, “just-in-case-ministry-fails”). That kind of thought is an insult on God.
God’s work has never and CAN NEVER fail! Put your two legs in, this boat can’t sink! Your future and safety is so guaranteed! Yes, it may be tough and rough; but your victory is guaranteed! Look forward, push forward! Keep your hands on the plough and your eyes on the Master; You can not fail, if He did not fail!
