WORD & POWER for TODAY
… enlightening your human spirit.
REBUKE THE TROUBLE
“But He said to them, “why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.” Matthew 8:26 NKJV
Do not spread your arms and just allow the wind of life to carry you away; rebuke it! One of the reasons Jesus allowed His disciples to follow Him everywhere He went was to show them how to deal with real life’s issues whenever they arise!
No matter how pious, studious, or prayerful you are, the wind will blow at some points against you! The devil, and the challenges of life, have no respect for your tittle or spiritual position. What they respect is your authority! Think about the audacity of the waves and the wind that threatened to drown Jesus and His disciples! The years of experience that the disciples had about waters and the wind as professional fishermen vanished at the presence of this trouble! They lamented to Jesus; *”… Lord, save us! We are perishing!”* Matthew 8:25 NKJV
What did Jesus do? … Did He also cry to the Father to save Him from perishing? … No! He rebuked the wind! He spoke to the situation to regulate itself. He showed His disciples practically, that every thing on this earth has intelligence! They understand when you speak to them through the platform of their Creator! Everything that God made knows His voice! Do not panic, when you are confronted by the challenges of life. Do not fret because of the storms of life. Speak to them in Jesus’ name! To rebuke means to express disapproval of something or someone’s operation. Mention that unpleasant case by name, and rebuke it! Address it intelligently, using the name of Jesus Christ! Command that storm to stop!! Tell that disease to die! Cast those devils out! Use your authority as a Believer in Jesus Christ to calm the turbulent climate around you. You are born to rule your world… you are royalty! Speak.
*SAY:*
Thank you Father! I command every unpleasant situation around me to start working in my favour, in Jesus’ mighty name. I command my adversities to be turned into advantages. I cast every devil and adversary out of my way of success, in Jesus’ mighty name… Amen!
